Welcome to Farm2ChefsTable!

Farm2ChefsTable is a blog about bringing people back to the dinner table and savoring the bounty the beautiful Hudson Valley and surrounding area has to offer. Cook along with me during the week as I prepare simple, healthy and delicious meals from my “Chefs Table” to your Sunday Supper table. My recipes are designed to help amateur chefs cook like a professional chef at home.

During the COVID-19 crisis, it’s more important than ever that we stay home to stay safe. I believe that while under quarantine, we should step up to support local small businesses like the farmers, wine producers and independent restaurants that are still offering takeout or delivery. There’s never been a more crucial time to support the small businesses that we love so deeply. With that being said, many of the recipes on Farm2ChefsTable are made to prep day by day so you can savor at least one home-cooked meal each week.

At the restaurant, we do a “family meal” every day to bring all the cooks, servers, hostess and entire team together to relax and discuss the day. Family meal at the restaurant always reminds me of how my family used to do this on Sundays when I was a child. So…I decided to write a blog about bringing friends and family back around the dinner table with some tasty food.

Those who know me know that family is the most important thing to me. Cooking for a loved one is the highest form of nurturing there is because it comes from your own hands. COVID-19 has brought us closer than ever. We’re cooking more at home. It’s allowed us to slow down, take a step back from the hustle and bustle of life. Farm2ChefsTable recipes will help you prep meals throughout the days so you can enjoy spending time with friends and family at the dinner table now more than ever.

This week’s Farm2ChefsTable recipe is Roasted Parsnip with Maple Black Pepper Glaze, Pears, Speck & Walnuts. It focuses on those late winter ingredients that are still bountiful in the chilly spring days.

You’ll also enjoy recipes like Rosemary Orange Thrice-cooked Chicken with Cutting-board Vinaigrette or Slowly Roasted Pork Loin with the Cracklin’. Check out Sunday Family Meal for more complete meals to enjoy!

While you’re home, take a look around the blog. There are plenty of tasty recipes to try while supporting your local farmers markets. You’ll also learn about the people who produce incredible local ingredients in Meet Your Farmer.

Hope you are doing well and staying safe.

Warm Regards,
